About

Louis Festival

African dance group Mundi Dance was established in 2010 by Louis-Roger Eboa and students at the Bristol Dance Centre in Jacob Wells Road, Bristol. Born in Douala, Cameroon, West Africa, Louis-Roger is an African contemporary dancer, performer and teacher. He started dancing at the age of fifteen, and has continued in public performances in Africa and in Europe. He is experienced in teaching both in schools and in higher-education institutions. He also works in a number of social institutions in training adults in dance and movement. He now ranks among the leading African dancers in the South West of England. Louis particularly enjoys working with all levels of both educational and social groups, and specialises in engaging people to interact and enjoy the passion in dance. In 2013 Louis’s troupe Mundi Dance reached the quarter-finals of the Sky One dance competition Got To Dance. Mundi Dance has also performed at multiple events in Bristol and beyond including the Alzheimer Society’s Dance for Dementia concert, St Pauls Carnival and Bristol Pride.

Mundi Dance is an international and inclusive group where everyone is welcome and can learn African dance moves at their own pace in a relaxed environment. We encourage every person to find their own style and flow, ask questions and express themselves. You’ll also have the opportunity to perform at local events, if you want to. It’s a great way to progress and there is no need to be a professional! We do it for fun and for the joy of dancing together.

You are also welcome to bring your little ones with you to the Thursday class. Be sure to bring some noise-cancelling headphones for them as the live drums can sometimes be too loud for babies and young children.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
